We’ve talked a lot about how Ron Carvalho’s team—LodeStar’s in-house crew of data experts—maintains our fee database. Amid our many overlapping systems, we monitor LOTS of municipal, township, city, and other local newsletters for fee updates. You don’t always know where and how fee updates will be communicated, so it’s important to employ thorough systems to monitor them.

One of the unexpected results of subscribing to local newsletters throughout the country is that you come across a lot of interesting headlines. Stuff about bears spotted on Main Street, rabies discovered in animals, tree lighting ceremonies, and bingo nights being cancelled. It’s a lot of fun for Ron’s team to read these.
