From climbing the file cabinets in his family owned title agency as a boy to leading the charge toward a paperless mortgage process as LodeStar’s CEO Jim Paolino has spent his entire life in the real estate and mortgage industry.
Today, Jim’s focus is on the continuing growth of one of the mortgage industry’s fastest growing technology providers.
Over the course of his career, Jim has been honored with several industry awards, including National Mortgage Professional’s 40 Most Influential Mortgage Professionals Under 40 (2016, 2017 and 2020) and Housing Wire’s 2021 Rising Stars. Jim is also frequently quoted in the mortgage media on technology trends as they relate to compliance, operational efficiency and sales growth. He has presented at the MBA Annual Convention and Expo; RESPRO conferences and more. He has authored or been a source for dozens of mortgage and title publications, including Rob Chrisman’s Blog, MBA NewsLink, National Mortgage News, Housing Wire, MReport, Scotsman Guide ALTA’s Title News. And he has been a guest on leading industry podcasts such as Lykken on Lending and Shred Media’s Shred Show.
Jim is deeply involved in the entrepreneurial community as a whole. He is a recent graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and a current member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). Jim also mentors local aspiring entrepreneurs at Drexel and Lehigh Universities.
DAVID SPEKTOR
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
David was with Jim Paolino as a co-founder in the same small apartment on Day One of LodeStar’s existence, helping to design the architecture for what is now the mortgage industry’s leading fee calculator.
One might not know that David is Russian-born, but it’s evident to all that he’s a born technologist and problem solver with an eye for moving the mortgage process forward. He is also secretly hoping that LodeStar’s marketing department will one day possess its own t-shirt cannon! In addition to his work building LodeStar, David previously served as CTO for Lenders Integrated Solutions. He received his bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.
