Per tradition, LLL wrapped up its season by sitting down with LodeStar Co-Founders Jim Paolino and David Spektor to reflect on the company’s growth over the last several months. And of course, we checked in on Dave’s inextinguishable dream to purchase a t-shirt cannon.

For this week’s Lending Leaders, Alayna had an opportunity to talk with Jemila Stewart, Director of Partner Business Development at one of LodeStar’s favorite partners, MeridianLink. Contra our usual format, Alayna and Jemila were able to speak together live at the MeridianLink LIVE! 2022 User Forum.

LLL was excited to chat with Alex Dunton, EVP of National Sales for Priority Title and Escrow. We talked all things title insurance in today’s tech-driven market and how title insurance is one of the most important parts of the lending process.

We’re trying something new this week at LLL. Every month, Jim and Alayna will put their heads together to talk about the state of the mortgage industry and discuss relevant topics, headlines, and current events. This time they talk about conferences, meeting clients, and responding to changes in volume. Also, they judge vendors’ snack offerings and booth setups at this spring’s industry conferences.

Here at LLL we get to talk to some great people, friends both old and new. Kevin Streber, an Account Director at SalesScreen, a leading sales gamification platform, has known Jim for a long time. We were thrilled to sit down with him and talk all things gamification in the workplace and what really motivates employees.

LLL had the long-awaited pleasure of reconnecting with our CEO, Jim Paolino, who’s been on paternity leave. It was great to have him back, and we were eager to catch up!

Sabrina is an inspiration to us here at LodeStar, and we were grateful for the opportunity to sit down and talk with her about BeSmartee, spring conference season, and the joys of learning new things and meeting new people.

It’s always a pleasure when we get to talk with LodeStar’s own Director of Data Operations, Ron Carvalho. Ron’s team manages LodeStar’s fee database with a rare, contagious passion. Ron loves math, and we love picking his brain about closing fees, database management, and the joys of making the perfect spreadsheet.
